We are looking for an experienced Chaldean speaking Aged Care Support Worker to join our Centre-Based program in Meadow Heights to: 

  • Support people aged care clients to live independently and to achieve their personal goals.
  • Developing and facilitating group programs that best suit the client’s needs and goals.
  • Provide direct support for individuals during program delivery such as personal care, behavioural, physical, and social supports.
  • Create a positive environment for all clients promoting both physical and emotional well-being.
  • Provide quality services and outcomes, by the relationships formed between staff, the people we support, their families and representatives.
  • Providing emotional support by talking to clients about their needs and listening to their concerns.

To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:

  • Certificate IV Disability/Aged Care or Individual Support, or currently working towards a relevant qualification
  • Understanding of what is involved in working with aged care
  • Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and families
  • Excellent time management, problem solving, communication and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team to create a positive culture

 

The fine print

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC.
  • Full driver license and travel between sites required.
  • Experience and ability to drive DPV Health Buses (11-seater)
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate
  • COVID-19 Vaccinated
